Betsy Aird, MVSc
Dr. Betsy Aird is a graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation she was an associate veterinarian in two small animal practices prior to returning to the University of Minnesota where she completed a residency in clinical pathology and obtained a PhD in veterinary pathology. She was on the staff at the University of Minnesota in a number of capacities – first as an Assistant Clinical Specialist, then as a Veterinary Medical Associate and finally as an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Director of the Clinical Pathology Service. She became a study director for a contract research organization (River Valley Farms) for non-GLP studies supporting the medical device industry. She was a staff pathologist providing diagnostic clinical pathology services at Marshfield Laboratories in Marshfield Wisconsin prior to becoming an independent contractor clinical pathologist. Dr. Aird joined the pathology staff at Heska in July 2021. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in clinical pathology.
