Kimberly Caruso DVM
Dr. Caruso attended Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After achieving her DVM degree, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Texas A & M University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also completed residency training in clinical pathology both at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and at the University of California Davis, College of Veterinary Medicine. She was an independent contractor clinical pathologist at Idexx Laboratories and a staff clinical pathologist at both VCA Antech Laboratory and at California Veterinary Specialists. She was a consultant clinical pathologist at Precision Veterinary Diagnostics, Animal Reference Pathology, Rapid Reference Laboratory and Lacuna Diagnostics and served as locum clinical pathologist for Marshfield Laboratories and for VDx Veterinary Pathology Diagnostics. She also had her own independent contractor clinical pathology service (Veterinary Cytopathology Services). She has also worked in small animal clinical medicine and emergency services as a staff veterinarian and as a relief veterinarian for small animal practices in Southern California. Dr. Caruso is a certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist and previously co-owned Valencia Canine Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Caruso joined the pathology staff at Heska in June 2021. Dr. Caruso is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in clinical pathology.
